Every day we use the small white cups with letters R and F from Design Letters ;-) 

It's all based on the same Arne Jacobsen’s vintage typography. 
This Danish company have launched a ton of new design products at Maison & Objet 2014 in Paris. 

I especially like the Stool & Storage stool, designed by Christian Flindt. 

It is a multifunctional stool with built-in storage , so perfect for an extra seat, for laundry, 

kids toys etc. so it could stand in a bathroom, hall , children's room, 

and that's what I call a good design product.

place - Couleur Locale in Knokke

Last weekend we made a little trip to Belgium. 

One of the reason was the curiosity how the Couleur Locale store in Knokke looks like and how  Rafa-kids' bed feels out there . I met Ruth, the founder of the store during a photo sesion at our studio for  Happy Lights some time ago, remember this post  Happy lights kids E-catalogue ? 

 We were so surprised to see our A teen bed standing in a front window! and then discover this charming store. What a great mix of modern design, special objects from travel journeys of Ruth and her partner, and then also a bit of products for kids. The happy lights lamps give the store such a colorful vibe and positive energy! 

The street was so busy and packed that we escaped to the  beach pretty fast, 

which is just around the corner,  with the best ice cream ever for our kids.

Happy Lights Kids eCatalogue

Finally the new Happy Lights Kids eCatalogue made at Rafa-kids studio 

by Paulina Arcklin Photography + Styling is out and you can have a look. 

It was made in October when we all met for this photo session in our studio. My favorite picture is the F bunk bed in dark chocolate together with mustard and plum colors an raw metal chair. The Happy Lights give a nice soft touch to this space together with the zilalila NEST knitted bean bag. Cute little corner with the ladder, looks good too, don't you think ? It's so great to have creative people in our studio and to do things together. Rafa-kids hope to do it more often in the future…..

No, I'm not in the mood for Christmas ….

but I'm always looking for some simple cards for this time of the year. I still send them! 

This ones from bastisRIKE are close by to what I like. I came across blog of Henrike Schoen and I really liked what I saw. Henrike, called Rike lives in Siegburg, Germany. She offers many beautiful and simple paper goodness , especially stamps and textiles.  You can find her on Etsy and Dewanda, it's a great range of creative good design!

Bloomingville - teener room

Can anyone explain me why such an inspiring brands like Bloomingville  or House doctor  don't have a children room section?  ( happily there is a Ferm Living with a big range of products for kids  ) The companies would like to decorate our kitchens, living rooms , bathrooms and gardens and it looks like the children's room is kind of left over. We can just pick up few things from their collection and put them to a children's room. That's what I just did for this post. Betina Stampe (owner of the Bloomingville) has 4 daughters, so it's even more interesting there is not special girl department ;-)  but with a lot of pink and gold it is a very feminine collection (I think!)

where there is only ONE modern teenager's bedroom photo!  ;-)

For the ones who don't know the company. Bloomingville is a Danish brand established in 2000. 

It started with two people Betina & Simon Stampe, 

and grew into established company of 40 employes and 40 agents around Europe.

Blue & Yellow children's room

There is not many things that I do not like in this styling/idea made for a boy room in the Dutch magazine 101woonideeen ! ;-) First I really like the bed! What a fantastic idea to connect the bed with the desk, and make an important and playful element in the room. The yellow accents - the chair, the small stool and of course the industrial lamp and closet! So many details and accessories I would immediately borrow for my boys room!

Kids wallpaper from Onszelf

Did you already know the wallpaper of the Dutch designers Onszelf (Ourselves)? It is a lifestyle brand run by two designers Astrid Nieuwenburg and Claudia Drube. They started in 2003 and have already 700 shops selling their work! ;-) I'm not really into wallpaper decoration but I find it really interesting to see the work of this talented duo. This time with so beautiful styling made by ANOUKB and  photograph by Marjon Hoogervorst.
