Designed by Verner Panton, unconventional Danish architect. In 1960 Panton was the designer of the very first single-form injection-moulded plastic chair. The Stacking chair or S chair, became his most famous and mass-produced design. The chair came on the market in 1967 as the first product made independently by Vitra. The bright, cheerful colors and smooth curves chair is available in 7 colors. " The Panton Chair has always been a favorite among children - both as something to sit on and something to play with" .
